What is the SNAP exam?

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or abbreviated as SNAP is a common aptitude test conducted and deemed by the Symbiosis International University for admission purposes. These are majorly offered for MBA/PGDM programmes by its 16  constituent institutes. 

The SNAP paper involves a set of 60 questions from General English, Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. The SNAP exam is totally a computer based test. 

Further, students who have cleared their SNAP exam will be shortlisted for the Group Exercise (GE) carried with a Personal Interview and Written Ability Test (WAT) round conducted by SIU institutes individually in February and March.

SNAP Exam Eligibility Criteria 

For the SNAP exam, students are required to fulfill certain SNAP exam eligibility criteria.

  • Students should have a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent to that in any stream from a recognized or deemed university or institutes. 
  • Special eligibility exemption is applicable for students coming from economically weaker sections of society. They should have a minimum of 45% aggregate or equivalent to that. 
  • Students who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the SNAP 2021 exam. 
  • Students studying in their final year of graduation applying for SNAP 2021 exam have to submit a passing certificate to the institute by a certain deadline
  • International students applying for SNAP 2021 exam date have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in order to be eligible for one.

SNAP Exam Preparation 2021

The SNAP exam is a speed-based exam where students on average are required to answer questions in one-minute. It tests the candidate’s analytical and logical aptitude. 

So in order to prepare well for the exam students are required to plan their schedule and follow them strictly. They should dig their heads around aptitude books and engage themselves in mock tests. Mock tests will help students understand the pattern and will increase their pace to solve questions quickly. 

How to register for the SNAP exam?

Follow these steps below to register for SNAP exam 2021. 

Step 1: Registration

  • First, open the official website of SNAP 2021 and register yourself on the same. 
  • Enter all the credentials in the given space including your name, contact number, email-ID, and other essential details. 
  • An OTP (One-Time-Password will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP and verify your mail account. 

Tada! You’ve already finished your first step. Keep SNAP 2021 login ID and password for login purposes in future.

Step 2: SNAP 2021 exam registration and fee payment process

  • Enter relevant details in the online application form. Make sure to enter all the details very carefully and accurately as changes in the online application form (except name, date of birth, category, test city preferences and test date) will be entertained only up to the concluding date of registrations. 
  • Select desired or convenient Test city. 
  • Upload your latest (not more than 3 months old) scanned color passport size photo at the time of online registration for SNAP Test.
  • Click on the submit button and proceed towards the payment window
  • Candidates are liable to pay an amount of INR 1950/- per test from any Nationalized Bank through bill desk gateway, Indian Bank Payment Gateway or DD (Demand Draft). 
  • Pay the required amount and you’re done with the second step too. 

Step 3: Programme Registration Fee Payment Process

  • Students aspiring to join an MBA programme offered by any Institute of SIU is liable to pay a fee of INR 1000/- for each desired programme before the concluding date of programme registration fee payment of the specific programme(s). 
  • The fees paid by the students towards the registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

That’s it. Done with the registration process. 

SNAP Payment fees

For the SNAP exam the application fee is Rs 1,950 which has to be paid in online mode i.e. only through credit/debit card or internet banking. Students are liable to pay this amount for the submission of the application form. Once paid, the amount shall not be refunded to the candidates even if they withdraw from the program. 

SNAP Admit Card 2021

Students can download their SNAP admit cards from 04 December 2021 which will be made available to the students on the official website of SIU. Check below steps to know how to download SNAP admit card 2021: 

  • Log on to the official website of SNAP 2021
  • Enter the required credentials in the given field
  • The tab showing - SNAP admit card will appear on the screen
  • Click on the button to download the admit card

SNAP Result 2021

The SNAP 2021 result date will commence on 1st February 2022. Students can download their SNAP 2021 result cum scorecard by using their official SNAP ID. It will contain student’s personal information, SNAP scores and percentiles (section-wise score and total score). 

To download, follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Go to the official website of the SNAP exam.
  • Click on the tab “Scorecard”
  • Use your SNAP ID to log in
  • SNAP 2021 result cum scorecard will appear on the screen
  • Download and take a print-out of the same

SNAP Selection Process

After the SNAP exam result announcement, the SIU affiliated institutes will commence their admission process which includes Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT). 

Students are required to clear the minimum cut off set by the institutes. Shortlisted candidates have to participate in the GE/PI and WAT round to pass the second phase of the admission process.
